The Denver Zoological Foundation is awarded $1,000.00 to determine if the carnivore community in Yellowstone Park is diversifying in the presence of wolves.

Oberon, through Fusion Partnerships, is granted $2,915.00 for program expenses at the Cromwell Park, Director’s fees, plants, seeds, educational upgrades etc.

Community Christian School in Wilmar, Minnesota is granted $1872.96 to do air quality testing in their city and to share the results with their community.

The Web of Life Ecology Center in Naugatuck, WV is awarded $1,985.00 to offer low income children a camp experience learning environmental conservation.

The Chesapeake Sustainable Business alliance, in conjunction with White Dog Foundation (it’s 501(c)3) is awarded $2,250.00 to help “promote, network, and educate locally owned businesses to create a just and sustainable economy.”

The Leatherback Trust Inc. is granted $3,000.00 toward their programs including preserving Olive Ridley Turtles and Leatherback Turtles in Costa Rica, and training a female conservation biologist in South Africa.

To produce THE WORLD GAME at Notre Dame College on April 22, 2005 we award a grant of $5,000.00. Along with honor students at Notre Dame the Board will invite up to 200 participants, each of which will be invited to make a $10.00 donation-the proceeds going to a peace organization yet to be determined.

Oberon projects will be awarded $4,500.00 for the ongoing operation of the teaching garden, chickens, animals, medicinal herb garden, equipment, feed, seeds, work stipends, and transportation expenses. The 501(c)3 organization is supporting these activates is now Fusion.

The organization FUSION is granted $500.00 for its ongoing programs to teach inner city children in Baltimore better nutrition and health habits.

The ARE Over the Wall Prison Project is awarded $2,000.00 to send books to prisons throughout the U.S. which have requested books for inmates.

The ARE Camp Hike Leader’s Training is awarded $1,500.00 to provide formal wilderness training to A.R.E. Camp Staff which will enable them to offer a SAFE spiritual wilderness experience to A.R.E. campers.

The Morgan County Observatory Foundation is granted $3,000.00 to purchase a computer to complement a large donated telescope, in order to provide learning experiences to Maryland children.

The Community Christian School of Wilmar, Minnesota is awarded $2,000.00 to help involve students to preserve a natural habitat in their area.

The Denver Zoological Foundation is awarded $1,000.00 towards a study of the role of the introduction of grey wolves on the greater Yellowstone ecosystem.

Oberon is awarded 2,000.00 for infrastructure upgrades to it’s medicinal garden, and live chicken protective electrical fencing and other equipment necessary or running the children’s visitation program.

Shorewood church of God is awarded $500.00 to volunteers who teach in Kenya.

Rajarata Praja Kendraya is awarded $1,560.00 (contingent on producing a 501(c)3 Paper) to teach people in a community in India to jar and preserve a freely available food (guavas) which otherwise goes to waste in their area.

The World Game is awarded $5000.00 to present it’s program in the near future at the College of Notre Dame. The College is donating the gym for FREE for this event. Several Board members will try to contact other donors, in which case it will cost Koinonia less, however the Board is designating the full $5000.00 to the project at this time.

A $200.00 gift to the New Ventures program for people with mental illness was voted on after the meeting by email and phone poll.

The Center for Environmental Equity is granted $1,000.00 to begin a pilot project to remove hazardous wastes from households impaired by age, mobility or mental acuity.

NYEMA Projects Inc. is granted $2,000.00 to construct a clinic and Women’s Medical College in Nangchen, Tibet.

The Namaste Retreat Center of Wisconsin is grated $2,000.00 for a project to record and document the Sioux Elders speaking the old language and their sacred song, dance, ceremony, art and history. (Mick will try to connect this group with Shelly’s people who created the video “The New Industrial Revolution.”)

Oberon is granted $1,600.00 to (a.) keep up and expand the medicinal herb garden and (b.) to continue its education work at the Cromwell property. Oberon is now in association with the Herring Run Water Shed Association.

Earthhome is awarded $570.00 to begin to develop ways of using biodegradable products, such as biodegradable nylons out of corn stalks and spider webs. Wendy Cooper, who did the “planet earth photo in every classroom” project for us years ago, will do the work on this grant.

New Ventures Enterprises is awarded $200.00 to provide a Christmas feast for people in a day program for those with neurobiological disease.

The Boys and Girls Club of Cecil County are awarded $1,990.00 to launch a 10 week environmental education and awareness program for young people.

Earthhome is granted $2,000.00 of which $1,250.00 is to support a worm composter project and $750.00 is to revitalize the medicinal herb garden, (which is harvested and used by holistic practitioners in Baltimore).

The Bolivian Mission is granted $1,200.00 to nurture the reintroduction of the MACA plant for its nutritional and medicinal purposes.

The Alliance for Community Education is awarded $2,000.00 to complete a video titled THE ECONOMICS OF PLACE.
