Grants
The main order of business was a review of current grant proposals. The following grants were approved for funding:

The Denver Zoological Foundation is awarded $1,000.00 to determine if the carnivore community in Yellowstone Park is diversifying in the presence of wolves.

Oberon, through Fusion Partnerships, is granted $2,915.00 for program expenses at the Cromwell Park, Director’s fees, plants, seeds, educational upgrades etc.

Community Christian School in Wilmar, Minnesota is granted $1872.96 to do air quality testing in their city and to share the results with their community.

The Web of Life Ecology Center in Naugatuck, WV is awarded $1,985.00 to offer low income children a camp experience learning environmental conservation.

The Chesapeake Sustainable Business alliance, in conjunction with White Dog Foundation (it’s 501(c)3) is awarded $2,250.00 to help “promote, network, and educate locally owned businesses to create a just and sustainable economy.”

The Leatherback Trust Inc. is granted $3,000.00 toward their programs including preserving Olive Ridley Turtles and Leatherback Turtles in Costa Rica, and training a female conservation biologist in South Africa.
